Week 1 Sunday Preview

Key Player Updates

Zack Moss, Running Back (Buffalo Bills): The Buffalo RB is out and it is clearly not due to injury. This means Singletary's value is on the rise, and not just for Week 1.

Trey Sermon, Running Back (San Francisco 49ers): Sermon, like Moss, is also a surprise inactive. Again, this is not due to injury, so definitely a situation to monitor beyond Week 1. Raheem Moster is an RB1 lock.

La'Mical Perine, Running Back (New York Jets): Continuing the trend of healthy scratches, Perine is out for Week 1. Go get Tevin Coleman if you still need a running back.

Wayne Gallman, Running Back (Atlanta Falcons): I am sorry, did you want more healthy scratches at running back? Well good news, because Gallman is also a healthy scratch. This may be down to not being up to speed with the playbook yet, but it means Mike Davis is a clear start in Week 1.

Keelan Cole and Jamison Crowder, Wide Receiver (New York Jets): Both Cole (knee) and Crowder (COVID-19) are inactive for Week 1. Hope you listened to me and Zach when we told you to pick up Elijah Moore. He could have a big game this week as the Jets clear WR2.

Emmanuel Sanders, Wide Receiver (Buffalo Bills): Sanders (foot) is active for Week 1. This means that there are three wide receivers competing for the Bills WR2 role in Week 1. Personally, that is a situation to avoid this week.

Top Waiver Players Available

Quarterback

In ESPN leagues Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons) is surprisingly available. Otherwise, go get Ryan Fitzpatrick (Washington Football Team), who was my waiver recommendation earlier in the week.

Running Back

Go get Tevin Coleman (New York Jets) or Ty Johnson (New York Jets) if you believe in either of them. Personally, I advocate choosing Coleman, who will hold the RB1 role in this offense until he loses it.

Wide Receiver

As I mentioned already, go get Elijah Moore (New York Jets). If he is unavailable though, Bryan Edwards (Las Vegas Raiders) has massive upside as the potential WR1 for Las Vegas. He is starting at the X receiver spot for the Raiders this season, and that could be meaningful in fantasy this year.

Tight End

I recommended Cole Kmet (Chicago Bears) earlier in the week, and he is still widely available. So is Zach Ertz (Philadelphia Eagles) who is my "boom" pick this week. If neither of those work for you, Gerald Everett (Seattle Seahawks) does not have a great matchup this week but has top-12 upside season-long.

Defense/Special Teams

Miami Dolphins DST was my waiver recommendation. They are still out there. Go get them.

Kicker

Seattle goes up against a tough defense in the Indianapolis Colts this week, which means Jason Meyers (Seattle Seahawks) could be called upon frequently if Russell Wilson and company fail to find the end zone.
