It is a small consolation knowing that the process was somewhat right regarding New Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill. The Tennessee Titans were, in fact, a great fantasy football matchup. Hopefully, readers took that information, and then applied it to Trevor Siemianthe Saints's actual starterbecause Siemian finished QB4 in Week 10. Yes, there were a couple of wins this week, but with the combination of missing completely on Hill versus Siemian and the Las Vegas Raiders defense/special teams unit, it feels like another down week.

That has really been the biggest struggle with this exercise. This is trying to predict things two weeks in advance. Fantasy football analysts struggle enough with getting things right the day of the game, how can it be expected to get things right two weeks early? Plus, it is tough to get out of a process hole, take-lock, etc., because picks have to be locked in despite new information coming in.

Despite all the pessimism, I genuinely have enjoyed doing this exercise. Getting 16 waiver picks right a full two weeks in advance still feels like something to celebrate. So, take a deep breath, and let us dive right back into it.

Note: All finishes are per FantasyData, and injuries are always a push.

A Week Too Early Waiver Wire: Week 11 Moves for Week 12

Bye Weeks: Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs

Week 10 Successes: PPR WR33 Marquez Callaway (New Orleans Saints), K3 Chris Boswell (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Week 10 Failures: QB28 Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints), PPR TE21 Pat Freiermuth (Pittsburgh Steelers), DST26 Las Vegas Raiders DST

Week 10 Pushes: Injured RB Latavius Murray (Baltimore Ravens)

Record: 16-35-6

Key Matchup: Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars (1 pm ET Sunday)

Who to add: Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) [26.8 ESPN/34% Yahoo]

The good news is nobody is going to be picking up Trevor Lawrence this week to play him in Week 11. The bad news is that Lawrence has been awful lately, and he gets to try and bounce back against a San Francisco 49ers team that just annihilated the Los Angeles Rams. Yikes. Luckily, in this scenario, fantasy football managers are picking him up for Week 12 when Lawrence gets the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are an excellent fantasy football matchup for quarterbacks, and the Jaguars have just enough talent to continue that trend.

Running Back (PPR)

Key Matchup: Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (1 pm ET Sunday)

Who to add: Latavius Murray (Baltimore Ravens) [24.8 ESPN/29% Yahoo]

Is this a great matchup? No, but Latavius Murray has to be back by Week 12, right? Unfortunately, Murray is really the best bet at running back for fantasy football managers still looking for a reliable option. Anyone who is even slightly reliable is rostered in most leagues, so grab Murray, who is likely the only starter still widely available on waivers.

Wide Receiver (PPR)

Key Matchups: Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots (1 pm ET Sunday)

Who to add: Kendrick Bourne (New England Patriots) [10% ESPN/15% Yahoo]

As I mentioned on this week's waiver wire podcast, New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne is this year's version of 2020 Nelson Agholor. Bourne is currently WR32 in point-per-reception (PPR) fantasy football leagues, despite averaging just 4.3 targets per game. He has five games with over 10 PPR points, all of which were against teams that give up more fantasy football points than average to wide receivers. In Week 12 Bourne gets to play the Titans, who are the best fantasy football matchup for opposing wide receivers. Bourne may be a boom/bust fantasy football option, but this is a game where he should maximize his targets.

Tight End (PPR)

Key Matchups: Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (1 pm ET Sunday)

Who to add: Evan Engram (New York Giants) [24.5% ESPN/32% Yahoo]

At a certain point, the numbers do not lie. Evan Engram, while incredibly frustrating in general, was PPR TE6 from Week 7 to Week 9. During that time, he never scored less than 10 points in PPR fantasy football leagues. The Philadelphia Eagles are the best possible fantasy football matchup for opposing tight ends, and that is exactly who Engram plays against in Week 12.

Please keep your hate mail to a minimum; I really had no choice here.

Defense/Special Teams

Key Matchup: Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars (1 pm ET Sunday)

Who to add: Jacksonville Jaguars DST [0.9 ESPN/1% Yahoo]

The Jacksonville Jaguars are not an elite defense, but at least they have had one elite performance this season. Combine that potential with an excellent matchup against an Atlanta Falcons team that may be missing Cordarrelle Patterson and Calvin Ridley, and they are worth a dart throw if you need a streaming option.

Key Matchups: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (12:30 pm ET Thursday)

Who to add: Cairo Santos (Chicago Bears) [1.5 ESPN/1% Yahoo]

Despite missing a kick each game, Cairo Santos averaged 10 fantasy football points per game the two games prior to the Chicago Bears Week 10 bye. Week 12 is a matchup against the Detroit Lions, making Santos a viable streaming option at kicker.
